Help Protect Our Bloomington Parks as a Park Ambassador
We’re blessed with a multitude of beautiful parks here in Bloomington, IN, but keeping those parks as beautiful and family friendly as they are is no easy task. In fact, a whole lot of work goes into the upkeep of our Bloomington parks. And the City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department can’t do it alone, which is why we’ve got the Park Ambassador program. This volunteer program helps keep our parks clean and open to the public, and it makes it incredibly easy to help protect our Bloomington parks as a Park Ambassador.
The first step in becoming a Bloomington Park Ambassador is to fill out an application on the website linked in our introduction. Once that’s completed and accepted, Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department members will provide an orientation into the program. As soon as you finish your orientation, you’ll begin your work as a Park Ambassador – work that includes visiting your assigned park at least once a week to assess its condition, reporting any suspicious activity taking place in the park, completing a monthly one-page Observation Report on the condition of your park, and organizing a park beautification work day at least once a year.
And if you find yourself in need of any kind of automotive service or a new Toyota car, truck or SUV to get you to and from your work as a Park Ambassador, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our staff here at Royal South Toyota in Bloomington, IN.
